Motion to disagree with the procedure recommendation made by the Commons committee tabled

The Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee examines all legislative reform orders. It considers whether the minister has recommended the appropriate level of scrutiny and can require a higher level. It has 30 days to do this. The Government, or member, can table a motion to disagree with the recommendation.

Scope note: This is likely to be a Government motion so will appear on the Order paper or Future Business B under 'remaining orders'. If a backbencher or Opposition Member tables the motion it will appear as an EDM.
